Community Ceramics -

Taylor-Rae Yarrow is an Appalachian folk artist. Finding her voice in the outsider art and freak folk scenes across the country, it is there that the inspiration for Community Ceramics was born. A space for the self taught, the stories that must be told, and those dedicated to craft.

I have lived in nearly every corner of the so called U.S and spent time on many of its backroads laughing with friends and experiencing phenomenal nature. When my home started to beckon me back to the hollers & hills in between Madison and Buncombe county, I did not hesitate. I packed up my car and drove until I reached the musky mountains of Appalachia. I jumped in our childhood swimming hole the first day back and felt a peace that I hadn’t felt in years. This region is truly so special and is where solace seems to find me the most.

Community is where the heart is, it is how we survive.

I hope to bring my passion for inclusion and dreams of a world where creative expression builds strength in the face adversity as a driving force behind Community Ceramics. Not only will we offer membership, but we will also be bringing beginner friendly classes to Marshall for those who have a desire to learn along with continuing ed. classes for the seasoned potter.
